Good morning Caffeinators,
It’s been a massive few weeks for us at Caffeine, and today marks a huge milestone. Since launching in 2023, our mission has been to accelerate Aotearoa’s startup ecosystem by connecting founders with the knowledge and resources they need. But a newsletter alone can only do so much.
We need a hub that hosts not just our newsletter, events and other content but also gives you, our community, the ability to connect both with us and each other.
So, on Monday we will be thrilled to invite you to the new home for Caffeine.
What’s new?
Daily News: A much improved experience reading the latest Caffeine stories, as well as a round up of startup articles from other New Zealand news sources.
All Hands: Our live social feed where any member can ask questions of the community, share news, and otherwise post and comment.
Messaging: All members can see who’s in the community, and message each other privately and securely.
Events: we’re hosting more Caffeine in-person events than ever, and will also feature other events from around the community on our calendar
Knowledge: We’ve embarked on a series of 101’s – essential knowledge in video form about critical aspects of starting out, starting up and scaling up.
Central Perks: Turns out our partners love giving founders free stuff. And who are we to get in the way of that?
So everyone can experience the whole site during its Beta period, there will be no paywall for the next month. After full launch early next year, some features will be reserved for our paid subscribers.
Housekeeping: We are now starting the process of transitioning away from Substack. Please simply follow the link in your Daily Shot on Monday to sign up to the new site using your email or LinkedIn.
For our Paid Subscribers: You are being automatically transferred to “Paid Member” status on the new site. You do not need to do anything to transfer your paid status and you will not be double-charged. Your support built this, and your access remains seamless.
For Free Subscribers: You will continue to receive the Daily Shot as normal, but it will come from a new address starting next week. Sign in to the new site using LinkedIn to access the new features.
The site is brand new. While we’ve tested it heavily, we’re still ironing out the bugs. We can’t wait for you to log in, look around, and let us know what you think.
